I just wanted to write a little something to go along with the sudden burst of activity.
I first must apologize for all the false starts when I said I would start posting and ended up not doing so. This was due to huge lack of motivation. When I started a Montserrat last year I was very excited and I did learn a lot and did a lot of work. You might be wondering why I didn't post this great some of work. In short it just wasn't work that I felt like submitting, if something I did in the class really excited me I did post it (the pastels from last December) but a lot of the other stuff was foundation year projects that really only served the purpose of learning, not a representation of what I felt like expressing. The second semester I made HUGE strides in my art, the figure drawing that I was taking was very intense and useful but again it wasn't stuff I wanted to post here. Then at the suggestion of one of the illustration teachers that go to my school, I read Understanding Comics and the book warped my entire perspective on comics and what I wanted to do as far as illustration. I still love drawing superheroes but I kind of like doing the very cartoony style that I am trying to develop, I realized I can be more creative by trying to illustrate a punchline than trying to illustrate the epic battle of Green Lantern and Dr. Polaris ( although My sketchbook is filled with that stuff).
My next step is trying to get my stuff noticed and with the incredible motivation of my Illustration Class I feel I can at least start on DA.
